Inspiration Days: LA Chillin

For the first time in a very long time I put my responsibilities on the back burner and let loose.
If only for my sanity.
I spent Sunday at the Two Point Oh LA Blogger Flea Market and snagged a turquoise maxi skirt from La Catrina de La Mode and a slip dress from Alana Hale which I absolutely adore. All for 20 bux. Total.
And thanks girls you fed my fashion hunger for the day!
My boyfriend and I then spent the day on the PCH going from beach to beach basically stuffing our faces and drinking to make up for lost drinking time.
I had the most amazingg Bloody Mary from this adorable beachside restaurant La Palapa in Del Mar.
A live jazz band played while we feasted on the tastiest fish tacos.
Thanks Elv for feeding me all day and helping me gain the weight I lost!

A Bit of EJC: Lazy Hazy Sunday Casual

Sometimes I wonder about my definition of "casual".
Clearly I don't seem to get the hint.
But I guess this is what I would consider a casual outfit for myself.
Denim cut-offs, a vintage button up, and some fierce platforms.
Simple pieces that you simply just throw on...cause that's exactly what I did.
Spent the day at the Two Point Oh LA Blogger Flea Market at Space 15Twenty and then had some down time on the PCH.
A good LA Sunday.

Happy to announce that the winner of my Very.com Embellished Body Con Dress is Elizabeth Adele of Love in the Afternoon!

Want-Haves: An outfit worth wishing for

I've always loved pairing long maxi skirts with itty bitty tops.
Something about alot of fabric on the bottom and almost non above is appealing to my eye.
This is an outfit worth wishing for.
Of course I don't needd any of these items
But I do wantt them.
Alot.
Nothing Cupid can't deliver right? *insert evil smile

Merino Wool No Finer Feeling

As a long time fashion enthusiast I have mastered the art of analyzing garments
From the silhouette, to the craftsman's ship, and of course the fabric.

It's important to know exactly what you're your wearing!
Thus my avid support for Merino Wool -No Finer Feeling.
Merino Wool combines natural, biodegradable and renewable resources to produce the prefect fibre that's soft and luxurious.
Fashion brands have been using the textile for ages because of the amazingg quality and versatility.
Of course sunny California (currently 85 degrees) makes it hard for me to wear wool but there are those rainy days where I wouldn't mind wrapping myself up in some Merino Wool products.

Check out Merino Wool and how amaze is their No Finer Feeling Campaign?

A bit of EJC: Green like the trees

Sometimes I base my whole entire outfit around my shoes...of course I do.
I recently got these Jeffrey Campbell 4 Evz from my favorite guy.
I loved the rich green color, the luscious brown suede, and bronze ankle strap detail.
Naturally I would pick a shoe I can wear so little with!
I decided to keep the base of my outfit neutral and top it off with my green thrifted blazer that I love.
Perhaps I'll run some errands on this gorgeaus Cali day!

Enjoy the sun homies.

Want-Haves: Light Weight Cardis

I recently started purchasing chiffon/lace cover ups in the kimono-esq style and received so many compliments
Now I'm obsessed with them.
They're easy to throw over a basic outfit.
They add color and print.
A bit of sass.
And are quite flattering on EVERYONE.

I'm currently loving the fringe & tassel ones.
Here are my top faves, click on the one you like and it'll arrive on your doorstep in no time.

Inspiration Days: Somethings my heart is missing

I miss my weekend in Paris.
I miss the dainty dresses of Spring (and I wish I was bffs with Karina.)
I miss the feeling of comfort.
I miss the view from the rock Jenna and I found by the Acropolis.
I miss finding little wonders of the world.
Most of all I miss the nights sitting in a closet with my girlfriends just talking.

playing the cards you get
something is bound to give"

A Bit of EJC: Chanel you Inner Gypsy

Sometimes you come across something that is just so amazing you feel lucky enough that it's yours.
That is exactly how I feel about this phenomenal skirt.
I bought it at my local thrift store for chump change and every time I wear it I receive no less than 5 compliments on how amazing it is.
I think the combination of colors is so perfected and thought out.
The turquoise, red, burnt orange, mustard yellow, and black of course to bring it all together.
I love my outfit for today.
I feel like a gypsy.

A Bit of EJC: The Neighborhood in 1979

One of my favorite ways to spend my lazy (and only day off) Sundays are at The Melrose Trading Post.
I always seem to find something that catches my eye.
This weekend I bought this fabulous vintage 1970's dress from the dopest couple.
The tag even says something about it being handcrafted in a Women's Union.

The colors are a mix of black, taupe, white, and some burnt orange along the edges.
I chaneled the 70's today...if only Jackie Burkhart made an apparence.
