From the Lens: Katie May is Everything LA

When I stumbled upon Katie May not only was I happy to see amazingly crafted dresses and skirts but Karina was their model of choice for the Spring 2012 Lookbook.
Of course I immediately loved every bit of it.
From the actual clothes to the model to the location and photography direction.
I'm thinking of purchasing one of her dresses for my Graduation in May.
Sweet and special enough for the occasion.

Inspiration Days: To live and die in LA

Living in LA has its major perks.
The weather.
The beautiful sunsets.
The rooftop lounges.
The hidden cafes.
The innovative fashion & web companies that bewilder me, inspire me, and drive me to want to be apart of their team.
And LA is where I call home (for the most part, sometimes I really think home is Italy but that's because I left half of my heart there.)

1. Sunset driving off the 210 West
2. Lyrics of Vogue by Madonna at the POSE headquarters
3. Giant cookies for homemade Pazookies
4. Big Bar at Alcove Cafe in Los Feliz where we watched the Oscars with a few drinks on the big screen.
5. The bf and I leaving Ricky's Fish Tacos HIGHLY recommend for any LA natives.
6. View from Perch over looking LA

Want-Haves: A Modern Barbie Ensemble

I think my love for creating ensembles comes from my childhood.
I was a Barbie fanatic just as many girls are but I was also a bit of a self-obsessed little girl that wore wedge jelly shoes to 2nd grade. (Don't judge me)
As I spend countless hours jumping from one online shopping site to the next I create outfits in my head.
This one in particular reminded me of a modern day Barbie.

If any tickle your fancy simply click the image or link below to take you to the site which you can purchase from.

Happy Shopping loves!

A bit of EJC: Dressed for two

My outfit today had to be suitable for both work and school.
I wanted to go for a more professional vibe because I'll be presenting a five year business plan in one my of senior level classes.
I definitely can never do a formal pant suit...gross
but that was the general idea behind my wide legged pants and blazer ensemble.
I added some sex appeal with my American Apparel halter and cinched the waist with a pop of white.

Now if only I could stop my jitters and kill the presentation.

A bit of EJC: Flower in a field of grass

By now you are all probably thinking wow this girl and her maxi's!
I just can't help it my closet is over flowing with the long hemline in both skirts and dresses.
It's so easy to wear this fashion forward style and you don't even have to worry about looking fat or frumpy.
This is one of my favorite dresses I own.
I wore it to a wedding during the summer but decided I could totally dress it down.
I paired it with a faux leather jacket, my Dolce Vita's, and cinched the waist with an Urban Outfitters necklace...that I turned into a belt.
Time for a Starbucks run with my long lost Italian soulmate Jenna and back to my paper!

Inspiration Days: Daily loves

1. Mirror Mirror at Serafina
2. Los Angeles, from a distance and up close and personal
3. New Charlotte Russe blue wedges
4. A quote that was on one of my oldest friends slideshow presentations in class
5. My boyfriends candy machine, yup I ate all the purple skittles

Want-Haves: Marni for H&M

I think designer and low priced retailer collabos might be the death of me.
Orrr my bank account.
It always gets me super excited to view the look book and pieces of high end designers at lower price points.
Marni for H&M is possibly the perfect pairing.
I think they suit each other well with their design concepts.
I'm not too fond of this collection, it's beautiful but just not me.
I do love a few pieces though and the shoes are 100% mine.

What's your favorite piece?
And will you be in entering the fashion war zone on March 8th when the line hits stores?

A bit of EJC: Purple Hippie

Every Saturday I spend my day at Serafina...aka work.
Of course the biggest perk of working at this luxury life-style boutique is the amazing merchandise we carry.
Viktor & Rolf, Carven, Gregory Parkinson, and Pour La Victoire to name a few.
It's honestly an amazing feeling to be surrounded by such great designers.
It's really opened my eyes to how much quality matters.
My co-worker and I decided to have some fun on our down time today.
I'm totally digging this hippie vibe and I NEED to get this purple Calypso maxi.
Let me know what you think of 70's outfit?
I always seem to channel that era.

Inspiration Days: A love letter to Rachel

I have been up way passed my bed time due to New York Fashion Week...(dark circles and bags are not a good look for me. Or anyone for that matter.)
Of all the shows Rachel Zoe was one of my favorites.
It was her first ever runway and I think she stayed totally true to herself. She created the epitome of Rachel Zoe in this collection, long hemlines, slits, faux fur, 70's bell sleeves and jumpsuits.
She's been receiving a combination of negative and positive reviews but I'm sure nothing will bring her down. She's Rachel Zoe.
And if I were to write her a love letter I would tell her that she is a phenomenal visionary that inspires me with every handbag and every maxi in all the world!

A bit of EJC: Valentine's Day Goodies

Valentine's Day was great this year and my Valentine was the best thus far.
A double dozen roses, an I Love You Bear named Elvin, and a MK watch.
And of course cupcakes by my amazing co-worker.

Spread the love everyone.

A bit of EJC: A million roads

Lately I've been feeling a lot older and a lot more sophisticated than ever before.
Of course my job at Serafina requires me to wear chic and tailored clothes that fit in with the vibe and merchandise of the store.
It's pouring right now but a few hours ago I managed to snag a few pictures before I began my day.
I live right by the back road to Angeles Crest which is breath taking and took advantage of the scenic view.
Time to start my day, work then school till 10pm!
May could not come any sooner.

Currently listening to Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks...its a feel good one.
