A bit of EJC: Outfits of the Week

I've been an extremely bad blogger as of late but with finals this week and a Graduation party to plan I have no time to shoot my outfits.

I was able to snap a few images of some of the things I wore this week.

Outfit 3: Saturday's at Serafina

Want-Haves: PLNDR Purchases

I've been a bit PLNDR happy.
They have had some amazing merchandise on sale and it would be totally stupid of me to pass up the chance to buy...for example...
The Messeca Madison clog heels were up to 60% off.
How amazing are they!?
RVCA red high waisted shorts, The Weekend yellow/grey clutch, The Messeca Madison clog, and a Local Celebrity Daydream Believer tee.

Be sure to sign up to PLNDR NOW to shop some great brands for great prices.

I am so absolutely thrilled about finally getting Instagram that I thought I would now have an Insta-EJC segment recapping the weeks photos caught through my lens.
So here it goes:

A shot of my continued "closet" aka rolling rack because I have absolutely no closet space left.
Three of my newest Spring wedges that I a.d.o.r.e.
My brother picked a flower from outside and stuck it in my hair on was cute and I love him for it.
I finally had the time to spend my Sephora gift cards, love the Stila eyeshadow set. Love the quote even more.
And of course a shot of my crazy boyfriend Elvin and I spending a lazy night in.

Hope you enjoyed the photos, only three more days till the much needed weekend!

Sponsored Video: The Vogue-Off

Innovation is key in this cyber world we live in. Everyday there are millions of apps and websites that pop up offering something uber cool and uber different. The Vogue-Off is one of them, created by River Island, an amazingly stylish and affordable UK based brand, the Vogue-Off allows Facebook users to create personal videos by uploading their own photos, picking a dance style (I personally love the Mango Pulp Fiction), and watching their video come to life. It combines music, dance, and fashion for some carefree fun. Try it out now at The Vogue-Off and share your link with me! I would love to see what you all created.
As for River Island fashion, let’s just say it is right up my fashion alley. They offer anything and everything from amazingly crafted shoesies to printed perfection dresses. I love their current Aztec Print Midi and Orange Floral Strappy Sandals. Now we all know how bad I “want to have” everything but what caught my attention above everything else with River Island was their latest Spring Campaign. Filled with prints, colors, and just a refreshing burst of sexy fun they channeled everything perfect for spring!

A bit of EJC: The odd dress

First and foremost I have to state how blazzing hot it is in SoCal.
The type of hot that requires you to sit in a tub of ice cubes, iced mojito in hand.
I decided to give this dress a chance.
I bought it without trying it on from An Afternoon of Fashion, in one of those traveling boutiques I am overly obsessed with.
I love the high-low hem line, and the "holes" all over but it is a bit tough to wear because it's basically mesh.
Perhaps I'll try it with denim shorts next time.

For now, an ice cold shower is my only remedy.

Have an absolutely fantastic weekend!

And don't forget to add me on instagram @stilettoobeats

From the Lens: Signe Vilstrup for Stiletto Mag

Whenever I am feeling down, anxious, unsure, overall just plain and simply blah.
I delve head first into editorials, images, and photo shoots
Spilling all my built up aggression into focusing on beautiful masterpieces caught by the lens.

Today was one of those days, and this editorial caught my eye and helped me relax.
Signe Vilstrup shot these phenomenal images back in 2007 for (ha what a coincidence) Stiletto Magazine.
Deauville is what it was called, and showcased 20's inspired pieces against an architectural backdrop that is just as breath taking as the model.

A bit of EJC: Hitch a ride to Coachella

I'm pretty bummed I won't be attending Coachella.
The Black Keys, Radiohead, Calvin Harris, Feist, and Florence all in one vicinity.
I would probably faint.
Of course it's first and foremost a music festival but fashion has come to a near second in reasons to attend.
Daisy headbands, destroyed denim, floral prints, patriotic tees, and rugged boots are worn by fashion bloggers and avid Coachella attendees.
It's a beautiful thing, coming together in the desert celebrating two of my favorite things.

If I was there I would probably wear this least for one night.
A patriotic inspired tank courtesy of Crash and Burn, some ancient dark denim shorts, a fringe cover-up, and my extremely worn down Dolce Vita booties.

Crash and Burn has also provided a coupon code for my readers! Simply enter EJC in the promo code box and get 20% off Crash and Burn Apparel! (Currently lusting over the Robinson Dress)

"Well I’m so above you
And it’s plain to see
But I came to love you anyway
So you pulled my heart out
And I don’t mind bleeding
Any old time you keep me waiting
Waiting, waiting"

An amazing Sunday to you all!

A bit of EJC: Morticia

I hate that it's raining right now.
I did not sign up for rain in April living in California!
Bought this dress last winter before my study abroad semester and I literally wore it at least once a week.
Its ribbed and warm, yet easy to wear and makes me feel put together with out being over bearing.
(I am not a big fan of fall/winter wear, as you can tell.)
Totally channeling Morticia from Addams Family today.

Hopefully that will scare the rain clouds away.
I need my sunshine.

Want-Haves: Spring Tees and Tanks

One of my favorite things about spring and summer other than the warm sun, the golden tans, and the endless adventures are TEES and TANKS.
Just slip them on with your favorite denim cut-offs, strap on your chucks, and dash out the door.
Here are a few of my favs from PLNDR.
I just purchased a couple and I'm way too excited!
Not only are they cute...but they are literally half of what you would pay at Urban Outfitters.

Sign up to PLNDR now by clicking the image above.

Happy tee and tank shopping!

Inspiration Days: Don't forget to be awesome

A compilation of images to inspire...
Don't forget to be awesome.
People forget to be their awesome selves and lose sight of their awesome qualities.
Love, live, breathe, smile, be jolly, and enjoy.

A bit of EJC: Knit Charmer

Thanks for all the Birthday Wishes!
Unfortunately, I was planning on doing an outfit post in the streets of Hollywood on Wednesday night...but we got a bit side tracked so it didn't end up happening.
(I mean I would totally take my G12 Canon to the club but I figure a lot of people would point and laugh since it's not the smallest point and shoot in the world.)
This is the fabulous dress I wore that night
The Knit Charmer dress by For Love or Lemons thanks to the folks at Shop Excess Baggage.
Low-back and strappy it was the perfect lookatmeitsmybirfday dress.
I paired it with my new Steve Madden floral platforms and some dainty gold jewelry.

As for music, I can proudly say I am a major Disney Child Stars freak!
Selena Gomez, Demi hey can we be friends?
Love you like a love song is always on blast.

You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible
A sinful, miracle, lyrical
You've saved my life again
And I want you to know baby

Have an amazing work week and keep up the positive vibes!

A bit of EJC: The Birthday Girl!

Today is my birthday.
Born on 4.4.88.
Which I like to believe are my lucky numbers. (Hey I share a birthday with Maya Angelou...that must mean something good.)
I am 24 and feel more alive and young than ever before. I have grown so much in the past few years and am thankful for all my blessings.
It's only 10:30am and I am overwhelmed with all the love I have received.
I have the most amazing family and friends and would not be doing ANY of this had it not been for their never ending support of my dreams. I love you all.

Thank you to all that have wished me a Happy Birthday, your kind words and warm thoughts put the biggest smile on my face.
And thank you to my followers, those who have followed me when I wrote only about shoes, and those who follow me now.
Your comments and follows mean the world to me!
I hope to keep inspiring others to go after their dreams.
