Inspiration Days: Eternal Lovers

Lately, I've been inspired by forever love and although this is a fashion blog it's nice to shy away from "What's Hot this Season" or the material things that I want and focus instead on things that make my heart skip a beat. 

Here are a few of my favorite couples, both real and fictional that feed my hunger for the type of love that's once in a lifetime...maybe forever, maybe just for now. 

And I may be...the most cynical hopeless romantic that ever lived.

A bit of EJC: It's all in the face

This may not be an entire outfit post per se but it's too epic not to throw out into the websphere. 

I shot with Eric I. again but his time we did away with the extravagant locations and luxurious gowns. 

Instead, we worked with a white backdrop, some graphic tees, and my face.

I love being silly. It's who I am and comes naturally to me. 

Life's too short to be serious all the time anyway.

A bit of EJC: Lady Manor

The second look Eric I. and I shot took my breath away. 

Elegant, classy, vintage, and demure.

I wore my champagne Very.com Love Label dress which I bought months ago with a pair of ancient bejeweled strappy heels.

Deep wine lips and The Wrigley Mansion backdrop finished off this beautifully shot look.

A bit of EJC: Wandering Fleur

I spent my dreamy Sunday morning twirling in my favorite vintage skirt and a floral bikini top, shooting some epic images with Eric I - an LA based photographer.

The vibe was on point as we bounced ideas back and forth and strolled from location to location enjoying the SoCal sun and the beautiful Pasadena scenery. 

I've always been a big fan of this vintage-esq look - wavy hair, bright red lips, minimal eyes, and a tasteful amount of skin.

A bit of EJC: Black and Denim

I've been feeling very 90's with a Nasty Gal-esq vibe as of late.

Maybe it's the ill-fitting (ill in this context meaning good) Levi's cut-offs I recently purchased from The Rose Bowl Flea Market.

I didn't even try them on and it feels like I have had them for ages.

I paired them with my aunt's ancient lace bustier and threw on a fringe cover-up to tame down the sexy-ness.

And of course for the cherry on top to my outfit - the wedges that I purchased from UrbanOG.

Heel-less, peep-toe ,with a touch of femininity wrapped around the ankles.

I'm feeling great today.

I forgot I had this confetti dress from American Apparel so when I fished it out of my closet this morning I thought it would be the perfect thing to wear on my random Thursday off.

It's full, flirty, and fun with purples, blues, and pinks bursting in a whimsical way.

I've been listening to Grafitti6 on Pandora and discovered Eels Mr. E's Beautiful Blues.

The perfectly positive spin on the sad blues.

A bit of EJC: The Slip Dress

I slipped into this Alana Hale slip dress today. Finally.

There's something simply sexy about the chiffon fabric hanging on a body - no curve hugging bandage fabric, just loose and free.

I love the muted floral and the feather neckline finishes it off so perfectly.

(Although I did lose a few feathers today). Meh.
I've been listening to John Mayer's latest album and just can't get enough.
This man is a genius.
