A bit of EJC: Gypsy Princess

Today was interesting on MANY accounts.

First of all the weather in LA has been psycho. 

It was raining cats, dogs, and bunnies for hours yet it was still muggy and hot. 

Secondly, I decided I would straighten my hair...this happens about twice a year 

(when I am feeling my face).

Today was one of those days but I'm definitely thinking about styling it this way more often.

Thoughts?

My inner gypsy princess, coined by my blogger bud Deniz of Le Fashion Monster came out full throttle as I mixed silk, fringe and fun.

MAGIC Discoveries

Oh the wonders and discoveries of MAGIC!

It was hard sitting still - there was so much to see that I felt that a minute spent not wandering was a minute wasted.

Here are a few of the things that stole my heart.

A bit of EJC: Calico Ghost Town

It was approximately this time last Sunday...caught in the unbearable heat of Calico Ghost Town wearing my thrifted strappy heels and a Love Label high-low dress fit for a grim reaper.

We made a pit stop before the MAGIC madness for lunch and photo shoots.

The location was just too good to pass up.

Deniz of Le Fashion Monster was my fabulous photographer for the trip - we had a blast posing and being obnoxious for the next 6 days.

A bit of EJC: All Saints x MAGIC

It wouldn't truly be Vegas if there was no party - champs, some beats, and just a bunch of attractive individuals. 

The bloggers were all invited to an exclusive sneak peak at the new All Saints collection at the All Saints store in The Cosmopolitan last night. 

Rich leather, sequins, and classic blues and blacks adorned the mannequins. 

We nibbled on some appetizers catered by STK (YUM) as we mingled amongst racks of fabulous clothes...

it was a true blogger affair.

A Bit Of EJC: MAGIC Madness Day 1

MAGIC has been utter madness...and it is only the first day. We drove to MAGIC on a Blogger Bus sponsored by Rue La La and stopped off at Calico Ghosttown for a mini photo shoot. We had a delectable lunch with the yummiest arnold palmer drinks served in huge jars. Of course my suitcase is a disaster and I have no clue where anything is...but hey my outfits have been pretty amazing if I do say so myself. 

Today was the first official day of MAGIC and FN Platform we had an insider's tour of all the greatest shoes that will be coming out in Spring 2013...eek I am SO stoked! Later in the afternoon I attended a Designer Round Table with shoe designers Yeardley Smith of Marchez Vous (also the voice of LISA SIMPSON...WHAT?!) and Coye Nokes. The advice and inspiration I gained from the little pow-wow was unbelievable. 

Thank you to Lucy Paris for my beautiful snake print maxi! 

Can't wait to see my brother Art who lives in Vegas tonight...dinner and drinks are in major order.

A bit of EJC: Road to MAGIC

It was a hot Sunday afternoon on the historic streets of South Pasadena. 

The kind of hot that requires blasting the AC or jumping into a glistening pool. 

As the sun set behind the backdrops of the brick buildings surrounding us...Eric I. grabbed his camera as I grabbed my vintage luggage and this shoot came to life.

I was utterly inspired by my near-future trip to MAGIC Tradeshow in Las Vegas.

As an Official MAGIC Digital Influencer I will be scoping out that latest and greatest in fashion brands across the globe with 29 amazing LA based bloggers.

My mind has been filled with nothing but the idea of travel - slipping on my favorite color combination of red and nude, toting around my Grandmother's suitcase from Iran and impatiently waiting for the train to arrive. 

I've observed my style of outfit posts and I must say that they are more on the "editorial" side - both Eric and I like to tell a story. We like angles, we like depth, we like something other than the norm seen on personal fashion blogs. 

A special thanks to the ladies at Glow Salon, Alice for Hair and Lala for Make-up you truly made my vision come to life!

A bit of EJC: Summer Leather

The third installment of the Stoney Point photo shoot with Eric featured my fave faux leather skirt from Forever 21.

 I wear this thing all the time - it's so versatile. 

It was later in the day and the sun was setting so beautifully behind the rocky backdrop.

Eric caught some dope images with natural light leaks and even some "sparkle" around the edges.

I was dying of thirst by the end of the day but the shots were totally worth it. 

Note to self: bring a water bottle next time.

I paired the leather with a neon palm tree crop top that is so very LA.

A bit of EJC: A Memorable Fashion Moment

I decided to take part in IFB's Project #60 in which bloggers were asked to share their most memorable fashion moment. 

I have to say that my Wrigley Mansion shoot with Eric I. was by far my most fashionable moment yet.

Dipped in a champagne maxi and wine lips - I definitely felt like the Lady of this wonderful historic Pasadena Mansion which is far from what I really am!

From the Lens: A Mulberry Tale

A good ad campaign has a story, a theme, 

an amazing model, fabulous clothes and the photographers special eye. 

Mulberry's Fall 2012 - 2013 collection incorporated all those things...and then some...a lot of some. 

Lindsey Wixson, a few furry monsters, a quite eerie English backdrop and Mulberry.

The theme seemed to stem from Where The Wild Things Are 

which on its own is treasured tale that I do adore. 

I especially love the final picture with Lindsey smiling brightly as the monsters...um...sleep?

A round of applause for this phenomenal campaign.
