A bit of EJC: Love Me and The Jumpsuit

Sometimes it's really nice to step out of your comfort zone,
delve head first into something foreign.
That is exactly how I felt about this phenomenal jumpsuit by Zafira Apparel.
I never wear jumpsuits but this one just seemed to work for my shape
and complimented my mood perfectly.
I attended Bren X BangStyle collection/product viewing on Thursday morning in
West Hollywood and knew I had to
take advantage of the street art in the area.
Alan grabbed his camera and met me at the corner of Melrose and Kilkea.
My backdrop was Curtis Kulig's signature "Love Me" art.

Check out Zafira Apparel on Etsy for some more amazing pieces...
I love supporting independent designers!
Keep the dreaming alive.

A bit of EJC: The work space

A quaint little town tucked away amongst the busy streets of LA and a boutique fit for a French Carrie Bradshaw.
Fresh, intimate, with an old world ambiance - stepping onto San Marino's Mission Street is like teleporting to a far off land.
This is where I work and spend many of my days.
I started my journey here last summer where I interned as a buyer - sourcing designers, placing orders, and viewing collections.
Racks filled with McQ, Alexander Wang, Vera Wang, and Maison Martin Margiela.
Known for the tufted blue sofa and signature bowl of Special Dark Hersey Kisses Serafina is a diamond in the rough.

A bit of EJC: Lucca Couture

Everything about this dress is perfection.
The print, the colors, the open back, the high-low hem and the 70's inspired flare.
Paired with this shaggy grey vest, vintage clutch and my go-to Kelsi Dagger heels
this ensemble is everything Fall in Los Angeles.
I could just jump into a pile of red and yellow leaves and stay there forever.

Happy Friday Loves!
Have a safe and splendid weekend.
A special thanks to Lucca Couture for this outfit and Alan Loayza for these shots!

The Classics: French Kinda Feeling

It's times like these where I smile and think back to when I first started my blog -
all about shoes and music.
Combining the two in the most unusual ways that probably only made sense to me.
In a sea of outfit posts I thought I would take it back to basics.

Monday night was spent with my cousin Linette browsing quaint little shops in SoCal.
I noticed a song that had been playing in one of them...
French, beautiful with a certain something that made me smile and daydream as I twirled the aisles.
Carla Bruni's French voice, Jean Michel Cazabat fabulous French heels and a personal shot
from my weekend in Paris last year.

It's a French kinda feeling today.

A bit of EJC: Snake and Leather

Sometimes you come across an article of clothing that you know was meant to be yours.
The fit, the colors, the ease and wear-ability.
That is true of this Lucy Paris maxi dress.
It was love at first sit as I pulled it out of my Le Sportsac bag in The Blogger Bus.
I think I have worn it a minimum of five times since the MAGIC trip...
each time creating a different look.
I roughened the pretty-ness of the dress with my H&M faux leather jacket, kept it basic with my black ankle strap Kelsi Dagger heels and added a bit of vintage with a thrifted 70's clutch.

A big thank you to my friend and photog Alan Loayza for these amazing shots!

Happiest Monday lovies.

A bit of EJC: The First of Many MAGIC's

As the weeks after MAGIC fade and blur into the daily - daily life, daily chores, and daily responsibilities
I look back on my first MAGIC trip as inspirational, educational and simply wonderful.
Rounding up world-wide brands from shoes to handbags to clothing...under one roof...for three a triumph on its own.
Not only did it open my eyes to a world of fashion so vast...but also so powerful.
I felt the energy, the vibe, and the overall love of fashion that inspired me to the trillionth degree.
I met some amazing bloggers and learned so much from both our personal chats to the official Social House Panels.
As a recent graduate from Woodbury University it truly put into perspective the massiveness of the fashion industry.
There is a place and a brand for every's just about finding it.

Thank you to everyone that made my first MAGIC trip amazing...
Kelsi, Brenda, Renya and of course all my Two Point Oh LA ladies.
Love you all.

A bit of EJC: Simply Coffee, Simply Floral

As many of you may know I spent five months in Florence, Italy with my Italian soul sister Jenna.
One of our favorite things to do was to spend countless hours at cafes drinking
delectable cappuccinos and people watching.
We thought we would continue the tradition of coffee drinking (in a European fashion of course) here in the states.
Jenna found this quaint little cafe Simply Coffee in Burbank California and it has that Euro-Vibe we love - small, intimate, cute and artsy.
Owned by a Frenchman, Simply Coffee features local artists and homemade crepes that will teleport you straight to the bustling streets of Paree.
I wore a Guess "Smell the Roses" cover-up as a dress because it is still so disgustingly hot in LA!
The over-sized floral print and drop waist silhouette was tre chic for my play date.
Thank you to Swim Spot for the perfect cafe ensemble and thank you Simply Coffee for the tastiest Chai Latte!

Monday, September 10

It's been quite sometime since my last Insta-EJC post.
A lot has been going on but a lot has still stayed the same.
I am still wildly obsessed with my bunny Beats who has the most eccentric personality of any bunny I have ever had.
Just look at him!
I have been (oddly enough) enjoying my Sunday's drinking and exploring the fabulousness of LA.
And of course I have been dreaming of flying, traveling, writing, and twirling all over the world.

Have an amazing work week filled with love and inspiration.

Love all my readers and followers. I truly appreciate all your comments.

A bit of EJC: Prairie Neutrals

Is it okay to say that my favorite color palette of all time is neutrals?
Yup, the color palette with the least amount of color in it.
I love winter whites, barely there nudes, and deep chestnuts.
They compliment my coloring well what can I say!
I fished out this dress from my closet given to me last year by my fairy godmother...Sudy (yup she really is my Godmother...with magical powers of course).
I love the subtle embroidery and cinched waist.
Added a pop of cheetah on my feet and finished off the look with my croc embossed Clare Vivier clutch.

Happy Thursday Lovies!
Have an absolute blast at FNO.
