I did love her wittiness and effortlessly cool girl vibe.
After all she is a model, a fashion icon of our generation and all around IT girl.
So naturally her first book would be called just that...IT.
The pages inside were a pretty good collection of fashion icons
both fictional and non fictional.
I really enjoyed the images used and thought that the combination of graphics, text and personal photographs gave the book an unexpected level of charm.
My personal favorites were Chung's highlight of Wednesday Addams and her peter pan collar (which I am extremely into right now), the importance of good underwear and Liv Tyler's 90's school girl look in Empire Records.
At times I wish she would have gone into greater detail...
specifically in her make-up, brow, and lipstick portion.
Overall, the book was not forced but honest and her voice definitely shone through.
It truly did have a great compilation of style icons from a variety of eras!
Now for the fun part...
I am giving away one IT book by Alexa Chung c/o Penguin Books
