What to wear as a Guest to a Summer Wedding

In a little less than a year I will be saying I Do! The feeling is surreal and one I could have never imagined. Wedding planning has constantly been on my mind, from the smallest details to the biggest decisions. When I first started dating Emin two and half years ago our weekends were filled with wedding after wedding after wedding. I guess you could say I've been a guest for a wedding more times than I can count and have mastered the art of dressing for it!

Summer weddings are by far my favorite, the bright bursts of color in every corner, the warm beautiful breeze and of course the selection of dresses to pick from. I found this lovely pastel pink shift dress from the Cheers Cynthia Rowley Collection from David's Bridal, a perfect choice for an outdoor summer wedding! I particularly loved the neckline embellishments which doubled as jewels so I didn't have to fuss over finding the right jewelry. The shift silhouette made me feel like a modern day Jackie O and I decided to keep things simple, styling it with nude accessories and dainty studs.

David's Bridal is honestly one of my favorite wedding shops, they have an amazing range of dresses. from cocktail to party, long and formal. They also have handbags, shoes and accessories making it the perfect one stop shop - and to make things even better most items are under $150! With over 300 stores across US, Canada, UK and Puerto Rico I am sure you can all find a David's Bridal near you...just cross your fingers and hope this pink number is in stock too!

  7. At my wedding, all the guests (literally, all) told me how the food surpassed all expectations, since wedding food generally sucks. The brisket at NYC wedding venues was mind-blowing. My husband also had some custom choices for food that the chef easily made and incorporated.

  8. Thank you very much for writing such an interesting article on this topic. This has really made me think and I hope to read more. wedding bbq
