A bit of EJC: Neon Slit

I am a BIG fan of color and since neon is a summer favorite
I thought I would give it a try.
Of course I went ALL out wearing a head to toe maxi dress from Urban OG
but when I saw it I knew it had to be mine.
Paired it with some slinky black patent (might I add ancient) heels and a black shoulder bag c/o

Eric I. captured this look at Stoney Point so beautifully.

A bit of EJC: Mint Chick

Sunday Funday was filled with pregnant bellies, Sprinkles cupcakes,
and mother-daughter time.
Unfortunately, I do not have a Riccardo Pozzoli snapping fabulous photos of me at all times but I do have
Mother Theresa.
Yes, my mom takes 90% of my photos!
And although she is no photography genius
she does it with so much love that it really doesn't matter.
She is and will always be my number one fan.
I adore her.
Thanks mom for all your hard-work and patience.

A bit of EJC: Denim Casual

Black and white stripes
Some distressed summer denim
Old school pointy sling backs
 & my favorite PLV bag.
I usually never wear pants...ha
but today's outfit helped me give them another chance.
I've currently been obsessed with one song and one song only...
Probably cause of my hopeless-romantic-carrie-bradshaw-looking-for-love-phase.

"Ooh la love, I've fallen in love, it's better this time than ever before...
Give it up for you, I would give it up for you..."

wearing: top - love label c/o, denim - forever21, heels - thrifted, bag - pour la victoire, jewelry - mix of gifts, forever 21, h&m, vintage

Want-Haves: Ankle Strap Obsessed

I am in a current Ankle Strap phase.
Normally, ankle strap shoes are considered fashion "no-nos",
cutting the leg off and making you appear shorter than you are.
But frankly...I do not care and personally believe that they cinch your ankle
much like a belt cinches your waist.
I'm probably going to end up purchasing some of these babies!
What's your take on ankle straps - yay or nay?

Insta EJC

My lack of posts are due to me being CAMERALESS.
But that should change in a couple of days and I will be back full throttle.
Pinky swear.
Great, fun things have been going on and are of course documented on my Instagram...

I attended the Two Point Oh LA Blogger Picnic which was SUCH a blast, got to hang with Deniz of Le Fashion Monster, met Stephanie of Honey & Silk and Sheryl of Walk in Wonderland
Got those ahmazing wedges courtesy of Sole Society.
Highly addicted to Tweegram and creating quote images.
Channeled Kermit the Frog for a night out in Hollywood - wearing ASOS dress and PLV pumps.
My current fave bracelet from Venice Beach.
And a classic denim romper that just screams "Please wear me" from Forever 21.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram @stilettobeatss for daily posts!
Or on Followgram
I can be quite amusing.

A bit of EJC: Pleated Romance

To my utter dismay my iPhone got stolen this past weekend so I decided to fill my days with books instead of Instagram.
I finished Tuesdays With Morrie for the millionth time and then went straight for an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel The Beautiful and Damned
It's been a hard read but has filled my foggy mind with romance, romance, and some more romance.
Naturally, this 1920's story effected my wardrobe.
Yesterday I pulled out a muted, pleated maxi dress by Lauren Conrad, put my hair in a side braid, and strapped on some floral Steve Madden heels.
I felt feminine and uber lady-like.
Fitz would've been proud.

A bit of EJC: Black Summer

It's pretty unconventional...especially of wear head to toe black but I woke up this morning in a black kinda mood.
I absolutely adore this skirt gifted to me by Crash and Burn, the (if I may say) celestial-esq design and lace under pinning make it breezy enough to be worn year round.
Even in these SoCal heat wave conditions!
Paired it with my staple American Apparel leotard and gifted Marla bag from
Of course my hair was tied back into a very high ponytail.
A habit I just cannot seem to break in this blazin summer.

Insta EJC

Summer 2012 like many of my summers is all about change.
I guess I have come to terms with the fact that I am a wandering chameleon.
Always tired of the same thing - constantly changing, adapting, modifying.
I am currently in the process of painting and re-decorating my room.
I will forever look up to Miss Penny Lane for her infamous quote, you know not taking boys seriously.
Tuesday With Morrie under the California sun is my form of tranquility.
Dreaming of the Florence days at the Arno River inspires eternally.
And being myself is all that I could be for now.

A bit of EJC: Salute my Shoes

Theme dressing is one of my favorite ways to put together an outfit.
And for this 4th of July I thought I would purchase and wear American Flag shoes for at least a honor of this amazing holiday.
Since my shoes were flagged up I decided to keep the rest of my outfit red, white, and blue without any flag prints - just solid colors.
And as you can tell I absolutely love wearing men's button-down shirts.
There is something so raw and sexy about throwing one on over your outfit.

Have a fabulous 4th of July week!
Drink up, be safe, and salute.
